Born Douglas Allen Danner on December 8, 1957 in Marshalltown, Iowa, he was the son of Marvin and Anna Mae (Moore) Danner. Doug  received his education in the Marshalltown   area and served in the Army for a short time. 
Doug was a self-employed hauler in the Marshalltown area, also working for the Times Republican and the Marshall County Sun. 
Doug loved his family, golf, playing cards (pepper )and bowling.  He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and practical jokes, his love of life and TV surfing. Left to cherish his memory are his children: DJ Danner and Chris (Amy) Danner, all of Johnston, Iowa, Justin Danner and Matt Danner, of LeGrand, Iowa, Sean, Amy, and Nick Danner of Marshalltown, Iowa, grandchildren Janessa Danner, Mason and Haley Reid and two more on the way. Also surviving are his siblings, Ed Jr, Rod, Randy and Joe of  Marshalltown and Melissa Danner of Jewell and father Marvin of Marshalltown and several extended family and friends. In death he rejoins his mother, Anna Mae and his grandparents.
